In 2022, 150 years have passed since the manufacturing of the first steam locomotive on the current territory of Romania, 100 years since the construction of the Reșița Locomotive Factory, and 50 years since the inauguration of the Open-Air Locomotive Museum in Triaj, Reșița. For almost a century, between 1872 and 1964, 1461 locomotives were manufactured in Reșița.

In celebration of these anniversaries, the Reșița Cultural Center and the Amateur Filmmaker Museum organized, on October 20, 2022, the launch of the photo album "Reșița Locomotives" and the opening of the exhibition with the same name. The event took place on platform 3 of the Reșița Sud Train Station and gathered numerous cultural figures and press from Reșița and its surroundings.
