The photo exhibition “Bârzava: The Wealth of Water” concerning the network of hydro-technical facilities in the Bârzava basin is moving to the premises of the UBB University Center in Reșița, Str. Traian Vuia 1-4 and can be visited as part of the White Night of Galleries on October 1, 2022.

The photographs illustrate different stages in the construction and operation of networks of canals, aqueducts, tunnels, chutes, gates, and dams throughout the 20th century. The gallery is accompanied by an interactive installation titled Hydropower which illustrates the functioning of turbines used over time in hydropower production.

The exhibition at the UBB University Center is organized by the Amateur Filmmaker Museum.

The exhibition and installation were developed within the project “The Invisible City. Part 1: The Story of Water”, implemented by the Make Better Association and the Amateur Filmmaker Museum, with co-financing from the National Cultural Fund Administration and the Reșița Municipality. The installation was created by MODULAB and Zeppelin Design.
