Between August 1-3, 2025, Street Delivery and UrbanEye Film Festival return to Reșița! Under the umbrella of Reșița 250LAB, the urban regeneration laboratory, and as part of the larger project „Let's gather around the last blast furnace.”, the event Let's Awaken the Furnace! is organized by MKBT together with the Arta în Dialog Association, with support from the Reșița Municipality, Artrom Steel Tubes, the Amateur Filmmaker Museum, the Banatul Montan Community Foundation, and the Non-Formal Spatial Planning Workshop.
After a first edition dedicated to the Fantastic Funicular, Let's Awaken the Furnace! is an opportunity to bring the Reșița community back to the streets, this time around Blast Furnace no. 2, the most imposing industrial heritage site in the city, a symbol of over 250 years of iron industry. The goal of the project this event is part of is to involve the local community and local and national institutional actors in the revitalization process of the blast furnace.
