The tour explores the history of Furnace No. 2 and the evolution of its context, through a walk in its immediate vicinity. We will discuss themes such as the transformation of the built fabric in relation to the factory's development, the cultural landscape in which the furnace is situated, its value, and its implications from the perspective of heritage protection. The presenters of this tour are Maja Bâldea and Andrei Bălbărău.

As architects experienced in industrial heritage research and certified heritage specialists, Maja Bâldea, together with Gabriela Domokos-Pașcu, carried out the historical study of Furnace No. 2, as part of the current project run by the Make Better Association (“We are rallying around the last furnace”).

Andrei Bălbărău is involved in the visual documentation of heritage, focusing on recovering forgotten films, photographic negatives, and archives, contributing to the activation of cultural memory through visual and multimedia means.
